All members have access to our wide range of Member Benefits, with added benefits available to Specialist Members.

General Member

Any person wishing to become a General Member of SPAA must currently be practicing in the SMSF industry. Individuals with an appropriate tertiary qualification or recognised industry certification for their profession are eligible to apply for membership. If you provide advice under a financial services licencing arrangement, you must have completed RG146.

General Membership provides full access to the standard member benefits including, but not limited to, the Members' section of the SPAA website, our suite of e-communications, chapter participation, educational opportunities, and preferential rates for all SPAA events.

Membership is available to individuals only. Corporate or discounted company memberships are not available.

This category of Membership does not allow members voting or branding rights.

SPAA encourages all General Members to make an application to achieve the SMSF Specialist Advisor™and/or SMSF Specialist Auditor™ designation within the first 18 months of joining SPAA, however those who wish to maintain their association through General Membership are also welcome.
