Andrew
Hamilton
Chairman
Andrew Hamilton is the Managing Director of and a Shareholder in
Cavendish Superannuation Pty Ltd, Australia's largest administrator
of Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
Andrew, together with fellow director, John Row, built Cavendish
from a small bureau specialising in compliance administration with
half a dozen clients in 1993 into a business which today
administers more than 5000 funds and employs 120 staff.
Additionally, Andrew has recently completed Cavendish's acquisition
of Bendzulla Actuarial, a Hobart-based, nationally-operating
consulting firm specialising in the provision of actuarial
certificates for Super funds in pension phase.
Andrew Hamilton's involvement in superannuation dates back a
quarter of a century and this background and experience, together
with Cavendish's track record, means he is in demand to address
professional development and SMSF educational seminars.
Andrew's broad experience in all aspect of super - ranging from
product design, software and hardware development, training
programs and wide, technical knowledge and understanding of
compliance issues - position him to offer both insights and advice
that SPAA may find useful as it enters a period of superannuation
change.

Peter
Crump
Vice Chairman
Chair, Professional Standards Committee
Peter Crump is the Superannuation Strategist at ipac South
Australia, and specialises in the provision of advice on
superannuation issues, especially with SMSFs.
Peter has a blend of experience, as an actuary, financial
adviser and consultant, with 30 years' industry experience. He
provides strategic advice to self managed superannuation funds,
which is part of the overall lifestyle financial planning for their
members.
Peter also provides actuarial advice to accountants, solicitors
and other financial advisers on issues relating to superannuation,
both SMSF and corporate, as well as actuarial consulting to
business.
Peter is a director of the Self-Managed Superannuation Fund
Professionals' Association of Australia (SPAA), and is an SMSF
Specialist Advisor™, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of
Australia and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. He
is a regular presenter of papers on SMSF related issues.

Andrea
Slattery
Chief Executive Officer
Andrea is the Chief Executive Officer of the SMSF Professionals'
Association of Australia Limited (SPAA).
She has worked in the financial services industry for over 20
years and has established herself as an authority in the field of
SMSFs. Her passion for the industry and its self regulation is one
of the reasons for SPAA's inception and subsequent recognition as
the peak professional body for the SMSF sector. She is the face and
voice of the association.
Currently, Andrea is significantly involved in the SMSF sector,
building integrity, best practice standards for advice, education,
and advocacy of the SMSF industry through her participation in and
membership of committees including the following:

Andrea graduated from the University of South Australia
with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). She has attained
her Masters in Commerce, SPAA SMSF Specialist Advisor™ and
CPA FPS designations. Andrea is a fellow of the
Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
Andrea was the first woman to be appointed to the South
Australian Cricket Association (SACA) Board of Directors and to the
AFL/AFLPA Ladder Board of Directors.
Andrea was also awarded the AFL Mother of the Year in 2009.
Andrea is married to Paul Slattery QC and is the proud mother of
four sons: Christopher (Physiotherapist/Doctor), James
(Doctor), Charles (Lawyer) and Henry (Essendon AFL Footballer), and
has 4 grandsons: Lachlan, Alexander, Edward and Quinn.
Her other interests include playing competitive tennis, netball
and golf.

Peter
Hogan
Director
Chair, National Membership Committee
The SPAA board is representative of most of the States and
Territories of Australia and has experience and expertise in all
areas of SMSF advice, including accounting, taxation, audit,
financial planning, stock broking, risk management, estate planning
and business succession planning.
Peter Hogan is a financial planner with Securitor in Chatswood,
Sydney. Peter advises clients on areas of superannuation, taxation,
estate planning, social security and investments. He is a
Specialist Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Advisor. He is also a
visiting lecturer at Adelaide University's International Centre for
Financial Services.
Prior to working in his own business, Peter was the Head of
Technical Services for Colonial First State Investments for seven
years and held the same role at Macquarie Bank for five years. He
was a managing consultant with William M Mercer, Actuaries, and
Principal with Ernst & Young Accountants.
Peter has been an active participant in the Australian financial
services industry for over 25 years. Throughout this time, he has
been a strong contributor to the raising of education standards
across the industry. He is a regular speaker at the SPAA Annual
Conference, Industry Forums and financial planning conferences.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University, has
completed the Diploma of Financial Planning and is an Accredited
SMSF Specialist Advisor™(SSA™).

Shirlow
Director
Chair, Regulatory Committee
David Shirlow has degrees in Law and Economics from the
University of Sydney and is an Executive Director with Macquarie
Bank. He manages government relations and technical media
commentary for Macquarie Adviser Services.
David is a practicing member of the Law Society of NSW, a member
of the Superannuation Board Committee of the Financial Services
Council and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of
Australia.
He has been involved with the financial services industry since
1985 in a range of legal, technical and policy orientated roles and
has been a driving force in lobbying for superannuation law
improvements over that time.

Louise
Biti
Director
Chair, Education Committee
Louise Biti is an Accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor™ (SSA™) and
co-founded Strategy Steps, with her business partner Assyat David.
Strategy Steps is an independent, boutique business supporting the
financial planning industry with technical support and strategies
that are client-focussed and practical.
Louise has a Masters in Taxation as well as degrees in Economics
and Asian Studies and the Diploma of Financial Planning. She is a
Registered Tax Agent and a Certified Financial Planner™.
Louise has extensive experience within the financial services
industry in technical specialist and executive roles. She has a
prominent industry profile as a frequent commentator in the media
(both consumer and trade press) and a regular speaker at industry
conferences. She has been awarded the distinguished service award
by the Financial Planning Association.
Her depth of knowledge covers the wide span of technical issues
that affect financial planning strategies with a strong focus on
superannuation and SMSFs. Louise has co-authored a number of books
and publications on superannuation and financial planning
issues.
Louise has a strong interest and involvement in the educational
aspects of the financial planning industry as well as significant
involvement in government lobbying activities. Her previous
experience as a Director on the Financial Planning Association
Board and strong SMSF knowledge combines to provide valuable
expertise to SPAA.

Robin Bowerman
Director
Robin Bowerman is Head of Corporate Affairs and Market
Development at Vanguard and a member of Vanguard's Executive
team. He is responsible for Vanguard's marketing &
corporate communications and plays a pivotal role in Vanguard's
market and product strategy development.
Robin is a key spokesperson and presenter for Vanguard, with
expertise in investor education, funds management, product
development, industry and regulatory related topics.
Robin has overseen the considerable growth of Vanguard's retail
business and the products and services offered to both direct
investors and financial advisers since joining Vanguard in
2003.
Prior to joining Vanguard, Robin had a distinguished career in the
media and was a leading financial services writer, commentator and
editor for over 15 years. He continues to be editor of
Vanguard's core client publications including writing a weekly
column with more than 50,000 readers.
In 2002, Robin co-authored the book Wealth of Experience, with
Jeremy Duffield, Vanguard Australia's ex-Chairman and founder.

Carolyn Baker
Director
Carolyn Baker established the highly respected Queensland
boutique accounting firm CJ Baker & Associates in 1996.
Having commenced her career in one of the 'Big 4' accounting firms,
PriceWaterhouse Coopers in the Audit and Financial Services
Division, Carolyn embarked on a career in their Adelaide, Sydney
and Melbourne offices.
Carolyn has been responsible for the audits and financial
management services to a number of international and high profile
Australian Companies and Industry Superannuation Funds, as well as
having considerable expertise in the areas of Business Taxation and
Retirement Services including Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.
This was her key focus taking the position of Head of
Superannuation Services with another "Big 4" firm Ernst & Young
for South East Queensland in 1994.
In addition to professional practice, Carolyn is a mentor for
Griffith University and has actively been involved in training with
GU, and in her online training business, since 2003. Carolyn is
also the Chairperson of Exclusively Super a Specialist Accountants
only company for licensing Accountants in Superannuation Advisory
Services.
